FULL MEMBER INTERVIEW – Belinda Anderson (continued)

What motivated you to become a naturopath?
A few years ago, I was working in an unhealthy and stressful environment, and began working with a local naturopath. It inspired me so much that I decided it was in my future to work with people to improve their health and outlook on life.

Is this still the same nowadays as compared to when you first began?
It is still very much the same, only enhanced by what I have learnt the last few years while studying.

What modalities do you use in your practice? Have they changed over time?
My favourites would be herbalism and nutrition.

Do you have a vision for Naturopathy in Australia?
My vision would see naturopathy accepted as a standard preventative health practice, that all people have access to and would be encouraged to engage with.

What are your interests besides Naturopathy?
I love gardening, cooking, reading, yoga and pilates.

What words of wisdom would you share with a new graduate naturopath?
Seeing I am one, I would say: Congratulations for following your passion, now the real challenge begins!
